Education: A master’s degree in a human services field is required and must be licensed in North Carolina as a:  Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW-A), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC/LCMH-A) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Work experience: At least one year experience working with adults with serious mental illness is required. Three to five years' experience working in the behavioral health field is preferred.
Position summary: The Licensed Therapist is a member of an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and provides individual, family, or group counseling to members being served by the ACT Team in community settings. This position is also responsible for completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and member authorizations. General knowledge regarding principles of Assertive Community Treatment Team practices. Knowledge of social work/therapy principles, techniques and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. Possess considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques. Understanding of Managed Care Processes, and submission of service authorizations.  Ability to be available for crisis situations.
Travel Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and insurance required. Travel will vary depending on the daily schedule for this position.  All travel is in the community where the members live and work.
