Job Summary:
- Reporting to the Shift Manager of the assigned area, the Nursing Assistant performs duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN)/Charge Nurse. Responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within the Nursing Assistant scope of practice.
Qualifications
- BLS
- Nursing Assistant certification required or current 2nd semester nursing student when hired or transferred into position
- 6+ month’s recent (within 3 months) acute care or SNF experience as a nursing assistant.
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Pay range: $21.16 - $24.66 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

Education:
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Required: 3 years of experience in a medical setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory data.
Preferred: 5 years of experience as a nursing assistant or clerical staff in a medical environment.
Certifications:
Required: AHA BLS.
