Corporate Accounting Associate – Accounting Policy & SEC Reporting

<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Corporate Accounting Associate to join our Accounting Policy &amp; SEC Reporting team. The role will be responsible for the preparation of annual statutory financial statements, assistance in the preparation of the Firm’s external financial reporting function (SEC financial reporting and compliance), and coordination with our external auditors. This position will support the timely financial completeness of all periodic, annual, and other financial-related SEC and other statutory filings.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>As an onsite/hybrid employee, you are expected to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assistance in the preparation of periodic financial filings (10-K, 10-Qs, Earnings Releases). Includes gathering and analyzing relevant data to prepare disclosures.</li> <li>Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and notes.</li> <li>Proactively maintain relationships with external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient completion of required audits. Includes the coordination and providing of audit supporting documentation.</li> <li>Support internal control compliance (SOX 404) over Firm’s Accounting Policy and SEC Reporting function.</li> <li>Coordinate with Firm departments under the direction of the Executive Director to ensure the effective adoption of new accounting pronouncements and appropriate accounting for corporate transactions. Establish and implement the processes and procedures necessary to support such activities, incorporating appropriate internal controls and a framework for aggregating required disclosures.</li> <li>Assist with the preparation of technical accounting memos and position papers on complex or non-routine transactions.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by Firm’s Executive Director of Accounting Policy &amp; SEC Reporting.</li> <li>Provide assistance and support for annual audits, regulatory filings, and other management reports.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in Accounting with outstanding academic credentials; CPA strongly preferred.</li> <li>3 - 5 years of relevant public accounting experience; prior experience in Big 4 public accounting strongly preferred.</li> <li>Background in the financial services industry desired; knowledge of the alternative asset management industry a plus.</li> <li>Experience with internal control compliance (SOX 404) a plus.</li> <li>Working knowledge of US GAAP.
