Position Title: Part-Time Custodian

Nativity BVM High School is accepting applications for a Part-Time Custodian to join our team.

Position Details:

• Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week (afternoon/evening schedule preferred)
• Compensation: Based on experience

 

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas

 

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors as needed

 

• Empty trash and recycling containers

 

• Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and activities

 

• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed

 

• Ensure building security by locking doors and securing the facility

 

• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

 

• Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred

 

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

 

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

 

• Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks

 

• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school

Physical Demands/Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability appropriate for necessary mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; repetitive movements such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing (ladders etc.), reaching and twisting; frequent use of tools; will safely push, pull, lift, and/or carry light to moderately heavy objects and occasionally objects over 40 pounds safely; requires a sense of touch, finger dexterity, and gripping with hands and fingers; ability to operate equipment.

 

Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor, at times required to work under inclement weather conditions; Hours 3 PM to 9 PM, Monday to Friday.
