Assistant General Foreperson
This position enforces safe work practices, as experience, judgment, company policy, and OSHA specifies and conducts safety training following company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ensures utility specifications are followed.
- Coordinates with General Foreperson.
- Assists with pre-inspection of projects and helps with developing recommended management plans, matching labor and equipment resources to work, and cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate project circuit maps noting project status, crew locations, and estimated completion dates.
- Inspect crews, start/stop times, and identification of project shop locations.
- Audit time sheets for accuracy.
- Assist with customer notifications and customer complaints.
- Preview work assignments and conduct post-work critiques for each crew.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies to sufficiently support the complement of assigned crews.
- Coordinate activities with other General Forepersons to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to read and follow prints, visualize a job build, and apply critical thinking to solve problems and identify job-site hazards.
- Ability to work safely, productively, and follow directions.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment.
- Ability to evaluate circuit conditions and hours required to complete required clearances to utility specifications.
- Must have computer knowledge.
- Can communicate with various levels of field and management personnel and write reports.
- Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
- Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, etc. Subject to call-out work).
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Field experience as a vegetation management crew member is required.
Pre-Screen
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
- Driver's License Required.
Travel Requirements:
- From time to time, travel may be necessary
- Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.
- Employee must have reliable transportation to and from the startup location.
Physical Requirements:
- RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, sitting, climbing on/off trucks, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
Safety
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day,
