HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for our Roanoke, Virginia office. The individual will be responsible for maintaining and satisfying government security operating requirements for critical classified systems.
The ISSO is the individual with assigned responsibility for maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for an information system or program. The ISSO is assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of the system.
 

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    As the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) the individual will work closely with various Government Agencies and Offices to generate and maintain security documentation to include System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Privileged/General User Guides, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for classified Information Systems. 
•    The individual will be responsible for maintaining the certification and accreditation of classified Information System networks and ensure auditing requirements are completed in accordance with appropriate guidelines & requirements. 
•    The individual will ensure all system security procedures are being followed include maintaining and reviewing software security patching, account management and audit files in accordance with various customer requirements.
•    Maintain responsibility for Information System media control, anti-virus definition updates, hardware and software control for secure operating environments, Information Security briefings & education and training. Performing periodic self-inspections of the overall Information System program and ensure compliance with various Government regulations. 
•    Assists with investigations into security violations related to the Information System program; ensures corrective actions are appropriately implemented. 
•    The individual will require knowledge across all aspects of Security and will be required to backup and assist other members of the Security Staff as required.
 

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

•    2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years’ experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
•    Operating knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
•    Minimum of 5+ years’ experience administering security responsibilities 
•    Working knowledge of security system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures to include NISPOM, JSIG, NIST 800-37 (RMF), NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503, Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes is required.
•    Experience with SCAP, vulnerability scanning and logging tools a plus
•    Strong team-work, communication and problem solving skills 
•    Ability to work in both a Team environment as well as independently 
•    Must be organized and detail orientated 
•    Candidate must have current Secret clearance eligibility
•    Must have a minimum of Security+ certification with a preference of CISSP
•    Knowledge of Access Commander or SIMS is a plus
•    Experience with SQL is a plus
•    Other duties as assigned
