Role Overview
Genesys Cloud is in growth mode. The Product Business Strategy & Operations team is the analytical and operational backbone of Genesys Product leadership, responsible for shaping growth strategy, driving its execution, and ensuring the insights that reach the C-suite are rigorous, reliable, and actionable.
As a Business Strategy & Operations Summer Analyst, you will work at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and executive communication. This role is best viewed as an internal, product-focused strategy seat: you will help frame business questions, analyze performance trends, assess market dynamics, and turn findings into clear recommendations for leaders across Product, Finance, and GTM.
Throughout the summer, you will gain exposure to many aspects of the Genesys Cloud business, including product adoption, business health, growth opportunities, and competitive positioning. You will support strategic and operational workstreams by combining strong problem-solving, business judgment, and polished communication.
Key Responsibilities
Support high-priority strategic and operational analyses for Product leadership, helping break down complex business questions into structured workstreams and actionable recommendations
Build and maintain Excel-based analyses, models, and business insights that support decision-making across growth, retention, adoption, and business health
Assist with the development of dashboards, scorecards, KPI tracking, and executive reporting materials
Conduct product, market, and competitive research across cloud contact center, AI, and adjacent markets to inform strategic planning
Synthesize findings into executive-ready memos, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership reviews
Required Qualifications
Current undergraduate rising senior or graduate student (M.S. or MBA) in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business questions into clear frameworks and recommendations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and analyses succinctly to non-technical audiences
Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize, and get things done
Ability to build productive and positive working relationships with co-workers with varying technical and business backgrounds
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a desire to tackle ambiguous and varied projects in support of the Product Strategy & Ops team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SQL for data analysis
Familiarity with Python or R for analytical work
Exposure to SaaS business analysis concepts such as cohort analysis, retention analysis, churn analysis, funnel analysis, or usage-based performance tracking
Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Zenlytic, or similar analytics and BI tools
Experience with Cursor or similar AI-assisted productivity / development tools
Understanding of cloud software, SaaS, or contact center markets through academic or internship experience
Experience preparing presentations, memos, or dashboards for leadership audiences
