The Software Engineering team in North Reading is looking for a Software Engineer with passion for learning, developing high quality software, solving complex problems and becoming part of a smart and innovative team.  Are you able to balance a variety of tasks related to requirements definition, software system design, development, testing, trouble-shooting, and maintenance? Interact with multi-functional teams from the product definition stage through product release? Then you're exactly who we're looking for! 

 

  • This role has some hybrid flexibility however the candidate must be able to work on-site at the North Reading office.  
  • This position is unfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorship opportunities.

Responsibilities

 

In this role, the ideal candidate will: 

 

  • Design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne’s family of Automatic Test Equipment 
  • Create robust designs with a focus on scalability, high performance and maintainability 
  • Work with software verification engineers to devise, document and execute effective test strategies and plans 
  • Conceive and implement fully functional and high performing software solutions 
  • Tackle difficult problems and come up with innovative software solutions 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to improve our product, our process and our team 

Basic Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Able to clearly express your ideas and concepts both written and verbally 
  • Driven to get the job done and are not afraid to really commit, and go above and beyond to do it 
  • Experience with C++, C# and .NET development 
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and operating systems (Windows, Linux) 
  • Solid knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design/ Object Oriented Programming Concepts 
  • Experience with development tools: Visual Studio, Clearcase/Git 
  • Experience with development lifecycles: Agile and follow CMMI best practice 
  • Basic analog circuit design and prior ATE experience is a plus. 
  • Co-op or internship experience a plus 

Education

 

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science Minor 

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of practical software development experience
