PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $152,300.00-$186,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $118,200.00 - $220,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Staff Release Engineer at BECU, you’ll be a pivotal force in optimizing our software release lifecycle from development through execution. Your leadership will drive improvements in our software delivery pipeline, ensuring smooth integration, testing, deployment, and security practices. By working closely with product teams, you’ll reduce pipeline friction and streamline product delivery. Your expertise will influence best practices across the engineering organization, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

This is a single role being advertised across our approved locations (WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA or SC)

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Optimize Product Delivery: Collaborate with product teams to understand their code build and deployment processes, providing guidance on automation to streamline product delivery.
  • Develop Organizational Standards: Work with Principal Engineers and Architects to establish and refine standards, and educate the engineering teams on best practices.
  • Drive Innovation in Build and Deployment: Design and enable cutting-edge methods for building, deploying, and delivering software efficiently and securely.
  • Uphold Standards and Compliance: Enforce organizational standards and policies related to code building, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Eliminate Pipeline Bottlenecks: Identify and address bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline, helping teams develop effective code deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Utilize critical thinking to resolve issues and design solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Enhance CI/CD Tools: Support and improve too
