DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
DMBA is seeking a Software Delivery Manager to work with our low-code engineers and business users, and be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and bring value to the customer.
The candidate will work with low-code, process automation, and integration technologies that require a multi-functional approach to project and delivery management. A Delivery Manager will bring a multi-functional skill set in Project Management, Project Delivery, Business Analysis, and Business Consulting.
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
- Manage successful end-to-end delivery of software projects.
- Drive the project delivery lifecycle, especially using Agile methods such as Scrum.
- Be a champion of the Agile delivery approach and help make the transition from waterfall methods to Agile, where required.
- Coordinate with engineers and the business on project related tasks, ensuring delivery dates are met.
- Work with key stakeholders to define business processes, integration needs, build trust, and help the business innovate and automate their processes through the use of technology.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders in a timely manner via regular and detailed reporting.
Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Enablement:
- Elicit functional and non-functional requirements from the business and/or Product Owners and document them in the form of feature maps, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize the backlog, elicit feedback on deliverables, and raise questions to them on behalf of the development team.
- Present product increments during sprint demos and speak clearly to the capabilities of the product being built.
- Drive technology adoption and enable the business to be self-sufficient by empowering their resources.
- Foster and support the widespread use of the technologies within our business.
Business Consulting Expertise:
- Demonstrate a strong business consulting background by providing solutions to the business problems.
- Be eager to delve into the business domain and present strategies to product owners and decision-makers.
- Be comfortable with challenging the status quo.
- Train end-users and adeptly communicate changes to impacted parties.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in working directly with business stakeholders and mapping out process optimizations, workflows, continuous improvement initiatives, etc.
- Demonstrate strong change management skills in helping guide customers through their technology adoption.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Detailed, organized, able to think through and carry out the completion of projects.
- Flexibility; problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; self-motivated.
- Minimum typing of 50 WPM.
