Banquet Lead Server

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for supervising banquet functions and providing superior service to both internal and external guests.  Accountable for assisting the Banquet Supervisor in the operations of all banquets to insure that each aspect of the Banquet Event Order is done according to the guests requirements.  It is important that the employee in this position be dependable, reliable and responsible to insure that any decision making or problem solving can be taken care of in the absence of Management so that the needs of the guest are met.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, friendly, and fun environment for guests and employees

• Follows Family Style Service at all times

• Responsible for guiding and directing Banquet Servers and Bartenders before, during, and after events to ensure everyone is executing the event as laid out in the Banquet Event Order (BEO).

• Responsible for the helping direct the team during set-up days to ensure the expectations and orders of the Banquet Supervisor are carried out when not present.

• Provides superior guest service, interacts positively with guests and employees, and has the ability to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Works effectively and courteously with fellow employees while maintaining composure in stressful situations

• Responsible for complete and accurate set-up of all banquet functions, and inspecting that they are done in accordance with the BEO and they are done in a timely manner

• Maintain cleanliness and security of all banquet equipment, as well as controlling inventory

• Organize the function and tasks involved in the set-up, coordination with other departments, service and clean up to insure the efficient, smooth service of a large quantity of guests in a timely manner.

• Completes all company required training within designated time frames.  Also responsible for helping train new banquet staff and demonstrating servant based leadership. 

• Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests.  Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them.  Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.

• Comply with our drug & alcohol-free workplace.  Subject to for cause and post-accident drug tests.
