Department Description

The Commercial Effectiveness & Capabilities team is a Strategic Operations team embedded within each Market Access Dept focused on executing effective business planning, continuous improvement and training & development

Job Description

The primary purpose of the role is to:

1)  Learn and develop skills in the area of Commercial Effectiveness & Capabilities (CEC)

2)  Support the successful delivery of operational support to our matrix team members inside and outside of Commercial Effectiveness & Capabilities

3)  Drive key project efforts in support of commercial effectiveness & capabilities

 

This role is a unique heavily matrixed-focused position which calls for working closely with the Market Access Channel Access Strategic Account Team, the Commercial Effectiveness & Capabilites Team as well as business partners in legal, compliance, finance and communications.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance list/descriptions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for US Market Access Teams
  • Develop templates for Meeting/TownHall agendas and PowerPoint presentations for CEC Operations lead; improve organizational effectiveness for day-to-day operations activities in CEC; work with tech and third party vendors to develop plug-and-play tools that improve team productivity
  • Review, identify and present process improvement opportunities for operations directors and training leads
  • Create work instructions and a communication sketch for field-facing and office-based workers in US Market Access
  • Partner with Director of Operations to refine and produce a US Market Access 101 training module for onboarding new hires and GSK business partners 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong interest in the business of healthcare.
  • Strong interest in developing project management skills, including effective prioritization, time management, problem solving and impacting organizational business execution.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote).
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June - August 2025).
  • Have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid judgement, critical thinking and proven ability to make well-informed, thoughtful decisions

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend.
