This opportunity is full-time, on-site and located in our AEP Headquarters in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with process improvement and business teams to build employee adoption of new mindsets, behaviors and ways of working in the future.

  • Apply and champion AEP’s Change Adoption Framework, while playing a critical role in helping to continuously improve it.

  • Develop alignment for changes across all stakeholders, driving clarity between sponsors, project managers, employees, and everyone in between.

  • Ruin surprises and engage employees for what’s to come to help bring them along for change.

  • Prepare enablement materials (training, user-guides, process documentation) and communications.

  • Measure readiness levels for change and dynamically adjust approaches to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Establish change networks to drive feedback, engagement, and sustainment
    Partner with leaders to build change capabilities and foster adaptability
    Leverage AI tools and analytics to assess readiness and monitor adoption trends

What We're Looking For:

Change Management Specialist Principal (SG8):

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, IT, Communications or related field.

  • Associate's Degree and two years of change management experience.

  • Advanced degree a plus

Work Experience: Eight (8) or more years of change management experience; Experience as change manager on department or business unit level projects or leading change management workstream for change initiatives required.

Required License(s)/Certification(s): Change management certification or designation preferred

Change Management Specialist Principal Lead (SG9):

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, IT, Communications or related field.

  • Associate's Degree and two years of change management experience

  • Advanced degree a plus

Work Experience: Ten or more years of change management experience; experience as change management lead on multiple large-scale organizational change efforts required.

Required License(s)/Certification(s): Change management certification or designation required

Nice-to-have:

  • 5+ years of experience in change management or organizational development

  • Strong facilitation, influence, coaching, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once

  • Experience with stakeholder mapping, readiness assessments, and adoption tracking tools and methods

  • A continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to adapt, exhibit flexibility and be dynamic in your approaches

What You'll Get:

Compensation: $120,000- $130,000
