Overview
The Senior Director, HEOR is a strategic leader responsible for the development and execution HEOR strategies and evidence generation plans to demonstrate the value of Insmed’s gene therapy product(s) for intended indication(s). The Senior Director proactively engages and collaborates with stakeholders across the company including market access, marketing, medical affairs, and clinical development to understand and support Insmed’s business needs. This is a global role.Responsibilities
- Lead development of HEOR strategy for gene therapy products from early clinical development through product launch and life cycle management.
- Ensure HEOR strategies and tactics are cross-functionally aligned and meet the evidence requirements to support product value proposition, access, and reimbursement.
- Lead HEOR team responsibilities for research strategy development and timely execution of studies.
- Oversee the design and implementation of HEOR research including burden of illness studies, patient reported outcomes studies and clinical trial endpoint selection, disease natural history, medical claims and electronic health records, database analyses, economic models, and systematic literature reviews.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high performing team.
- Review HEOR research project materials including study protocols, analysis plans, reports, and publications building on the high quality and scientific rigor of these deliverables.
- Communicate and counsel Insmed senior leadership on HEOR strategic priorities.
- Collaborate as a subject matter expert on HEOR and a strategic partner to team members within the company, including market access, marketing, medical affairs, and clinical development to support Insmed’s business needs.
- Engage with external partners (regulators, HTAs, payers, providers, patients) as a subject matter expert on Insmed’s HEOR evidence generation and communication efforts.
- Oversee HEOR publication plans and communication materials.
- Manage HEOR budgets, support department operational processes, and lead improvement initiatives.
- Advanced degree in an HEOR or related field (health services research, public health, epidemiology, health economics, psychometrics); PhD strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in HEOR and/or market access, with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Gene Therapy.
- Expert in analytic methodologies and modeling, scientific data interpretation, and presentation.
- HEOR experience in US and global.
- Experience working with US and global payers and HTA organizations.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, strong sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and express ideas using oral and written communication skills.
