The Role
We are currently seeking a Technical Design Coordinator (internally referred to as a Garment Technician Coordinator) to join our growing team in Lenexa, Kansas within the Product Operations Department. This position requires a highly organized and motivated individual, capable of delivering accurate garment fit, fabric, and quality assessments. Liaising with our Design Development and Sampling Departments as well as international factories, the successful applicant will have a strong technical understanding of garment construction and patternmaking, a good eye for detail, outstanding written and verbal communication skills and display a proactive approach to effective process and timeline management.

* This position is located in Lenexa, Kansas and our ideal candidate must be willing to relocate if you reside out of state. This position will also work onsite Mon – Fri.*
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Support the coordination, documentation, and communication of gown changes throughout various design phases.
- Provide technical information and sample requirements for the execution of tasks to be completed by the sewist.
- Fit model session support including evaluation of fit and communication of results.
- Develop technical packages including specs, fit comments, pattern correction sketches, grading rules, fabric and trim requirements within appropriate tolerances and predefined performance standard.
- Participate in meetings with international office colleagues for collection responsibilities, sharing updates, project advancement and training opportunities.
- Effectively timeline, coordinate and execute line review processes for the assigned label line.
- Assist and be responsible for the timely response of Client Support inquiries globally as they pertain to Fabrications and Product Ops.
- Assist with preparation for Line Reviews and Strategy Week.
- Support Showroom and Photoshoot activities as needed, as well as maintenance and upkeep of photoshoot supplies.
- Assist with overall Product Operations departmental responsibilities for collection launch.
- Assist Garment Technicians with Custom orders. Processing, quoting, and completing technical flat sketches of Custom orders, liaising with customer service and sales staff to ensure clear communication of each order.
- Assist Garment Technicians with Bulk QC inspections.
Qualifications
Who You Are
- Bachelor in Apparel, Fashion or related degree; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in technical design, product development or equivalent required.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction including knowledge of sewing, pattern making and grading.
- Proficient at technical flat sketches.
- Ability to develop and analyze garment pricings.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with PLM - i.e. Centric preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM – i.e. Salesforce preferred
- Familiarity with Wrike is preferred
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self-manag
