Cepton(Nasdaq: CPTN), a leading intelligent lidar solution provider, is looking for a stellar System Software Engineer Seeking a System Software Engineer to play a crucial role in bridging digital circuitry and embedded CPUs for our next-generation Lidar systems. What You’ll Be Working On:
- Develop Embedded Software: Write and optimize embedded C/C++ code to control all aspects of modern Lidar sensors.
- Collaborate with Advanced Platforms: Work with state-of-the-art System-on-Chip (SoC) and FPGA technologies.
- Design Algorithms: Create and implement algorithms for both signal processing and 3D scene interpretation.
- Innovate in Diverse Applications: Contribute to next-generation automotive and industrial systems, tackling exciting challenges.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in C, with a working knowledge of C++; familiarity with Rust is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of timing and concurrency concepts, as well as computer system architecture and embedded programming.
- Understanding of Related Fields: Basic knowledge of optics and laser physics, along with mechanical motion and control theory.
- Prototyping Skills: Comfortable with rapid prototyping and quick iterations to refine solutions.
- Machine Learning Exposure: Some experience or knowledge of machine learning or deep learning concepts is a bonus.

Compensation
Cepton is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.The pay range for this role is $115,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.Apply for this role
