The Anesthesia Veterinary Technician supports the hospital in providing quality veterinary care, advocates for patients, provides excellent client service, and ensures a safe and efficient hospital environment.
Schedule: Full-Time | Tuesday - Thursday, 8am–6pm | On-call rotation required
Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate: $25-35hr (based on experience and qualifications)

Communication
- Record and deliver organized rounds; discuss case and request additional pertinent information as necessary
- Maintain open and clear communications with members of patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions), and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures
- Acquire vitals on surgery patients
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Perform all aspects of general anesthesia, including but not limited to induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Perform all aspects of surgical room and patient preparation, following appropriate OR room protocols
- Surgical equipment care and maintenance
- Perform in house laboratory testing; prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
- Documentation of all aspects of treatment
- Maintain sanitary conditions of hospital; clean and efficient working area
- Technical skills including but not limited to IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, venipuncture, and safe restraint
- Able to maintain focus and work in a fast-paced work environment
- Adept at problem solving
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills
