About the role
Description
This role maintains, installs, modifies, and repairs all equipment used in Filling, Compounding and R&D. In addition, the position provides mechanical support to the Production floor through equipment set⁃ups and continuous improvement projects to meet Estée Lauder's quality standards and expected line efficiencies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor and modify equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality are achieved.
- Perform trouble shooting and repairs on equipment located in all serviced departments.
- Assist operators and fellow mechanics with challenges during set⁃ups, operation and troubleshooting of the equipment.
- Maintain the inventory of needed spare parts.
- Train operators on technical abilities of equipment.
- Perform installations and assist in validation of new equipment.
- Performs general mechanical tasks to meet both production and building needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to display basic mechanical/technical skills
- Must be able to display basic computer skills
- Must have strong communication, problem solving and multi⁃tasking skills
- Education/Work Experience: Two years college or technical school or three years of experience in related field
- Must possess basic equipment knowledge
- Display strong math skills (addition, subtraction, %ages, averages)
