We are looking for an individual with securities and / or capital markets industry experience that is results-oriented, self-motivated and has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work closely and effectively with cross-functional partners and teams supporting Carta Liquidity and the tender offer business. As a Private Capital Markets Analyst / Associate, you’ll work to:
- Work alongside our Liquidity Sales team to help prepare and deliver market intelligence content regarding trends in private company liquidity and Carta’s solutions.
- Build and sustain relationships with internal and external clients to understand manual workflows in order to inform recommendations for new product offerings.
- Assist in the development of various secondary transaction models for private companies that optimize client-specific liquidity objectives.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of liquidity programs and a high level of customer service.
- Develop new creative ideas and solutions to client needs and identify cross-product opportunities.
The Team You'll Work With
You’ll be joining our Private Capital Markets team supporting Carta’s Liquidity business. Carta and its Liquidity team are market leaders in administering company-driven liquidity events (e.g., tender offers) for private companies, their founders, and employees. We provide expertise and white glove service from transaction structuring to execution and fund disbursement. Leveraging the integration with Carta’s cap table management software, Carta’s tender offer platform and Liquidity team make the complexities of conducting a tender offer simple.
The Private Capital Markets team communicates with the executive teams of our tender offer customers and their law firms, helps assess their liquidity objectives, and provides transaction advisory services, including financial modeling. As a part of this team, you will contribute to ongoing relationship management with prospective and existing tender offer customers, provide research and insights, and generate materials for engagement with those customers concerning their broader capital markets needs and the various ways Carta can help them achieve their liquidity goals.
About You
- 1-3+ years of client-facing experience in a finance or technology background recommended.
- Expertise in technical analysis, particularly using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
- Creative problem solving ability, with a demonstrated history of bringing efficiency to manual processes.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations leveraging Microsoft Powerpoint or Google Slides.
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets for key trends and metrics.
- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:
- Analyst: $104,000 - $123,000 in New York, NY
- Associate: $118,000 - $139,000 in New York, NY
