F&B Cashier

Description

The Cashier greets and seats guests in the restaurant and cashes out customers at the register. Responsible for inputting and delivering to-go orders to guests, answering phone calls in the restaurant, and assisting the food servers as needed. 

Requirements

  Excellent customer service skills required. 

· Assist Food Servers with drink orders and delivery.

· Ensures that the restaurant maintains excellent service standards in order to meet and exceed guest expectations.

· Assist with clearing of tables and wiping down tables.

· Prepares tables for guests.

· Cleans menus and condiments; ensures condiments are full and in good condition.

· Assist all Front of House employees as needed.

· Quickly and accurately complete sales at the register.

· Adheres to all departmental, health, and safety standards.

· Follows all cash handling procedures, including proper drawer closing.

· Inputs to-go orders and prepare orders for delivery to the guests.

· Answers the phone and transfer calls if needed. 

· Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.

· Familiar and proficient in the use of a Point-of-Sale register.

· Completes cleaning tasks as directed including (but not limited to) sweeping, mopping, and wiping down restaurant surfaces.

Requirements

Minimum of six months previous cash-handling and customer service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale registers.
