The Supply Chain Organization seeks an experienced Supply Chain/ Operations/Program Management professional to lead a Sub-Commodity Value Stream inclusive of a subcontracting and supplier performance management team, reporting within the Raytheon Supply Chain - Energetics and Propulsion Product Commodity Organization. This role works closely with Mission Assurance, Engineering, Material Program Management, Acquisition, Operations, and Program Management.
The ideal candidate will draw from extensive operations, program management, and supply chain management skills to lead a cross functional team of supplier management and subcontract managers, overseeing the supply chain performance life cycle of critical supplier locations to improve supplier performance and ensure business objectives are met to deliver maximum value to Raytheon. The ideal candidate will have an ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organizations; have business acumen to lead and immediately connect contractual, operational, sourcing, and technical concerns that may impact a supplier’s ability to perform; and is able to proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively, while leading a team of subcontract and supplier performance professionals through challenges and providing business solutions to the customer.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, leadership to Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and Engineering professionals, in the area of supplier performance, procurement, and supply chain strategy approaches that assures flawless execution and drives affordability from our supply base.
• Improve the overall performance of assigned suppliers
• Foster and maintain effective collaboration across the Product Lines, specifically within Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, Engineering, Operations, and Program Management and across assigned suppliers to ensure full integration of best practices to accomplish objectives
• Assist in evolving supply base alignment with Raytheon’s technology roadmaps
• Execute and Support Proposals in collaboration with the proposal and program team
• Travel expected as required. Supplier locations and domain of management evolve depending on business requirements.
This role will be onsite at a Raytheon facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically Requires a Bachelors degree (MBA preferrable), and a Minimum 12 years of Operations/Program Management/Supply Chain or related experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
• Leadership/Management experience
• Procurement & Proposal execution experience required
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Demonstrated ability to lead and present executive level reviews and briefings, and drive results across the sub-commodity domain
• Demonstrated experience developing suppliers and working with suppliers to improve performance and affordability
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, provide timely updates on critical business issues, and display personal ownership and accountability to all facets of work performed
• Ability to build relationships, able to work and lead in a cross functional environment, able to interface with varying levels of management and work with multi-functions including supply chain, quality & mission assurance, program management, engineering, operations, and supply base
• Proficiency in tools and systems including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking throughout the supplier performance and oversight process
• Demonstrated experience in constraint management and lean manufacturing principles
• Skilled in communications, team building, conflict resolution and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment that includes credibility, respect, and trust
