Bringing Home the Dough

The Manager – Hosting/Cloud Services manages the development, implementation, maintenance, administration, and support of the company’s cloud services, datacenter/hyperscale hosting, server, and storage infrastructure based on the information technology and business department requirements. The position also manages a staff of IT professionals and works directly with the information technology leadership and management team(s). This position is also expected to facilitate the adoption of new or improved processes and/or procedures across the company to improve productivity in the department.

Position requires an incumbent with the ability to work independently and one skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, discretion, thought leadership, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Position oversees and performs activities to support, modify, or create new processes for the business based on their needs:
• Management of cloud and on-premises based information technology products and services to ensure high levels of performance and availability to the end users of the organization.
• Deployment, execution, and strategy of patch management solutions for Windows and Non-Windows server environments.
• Ensure platform availability and performance of cloud-based services (e.g. Azure, Office 365)
• Manage cloud computing costs and provide reports to asset owners 
• Work with application teams, business, and technical teams on design and delivery of Hosting/Cloud services
• Direct the administration of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Responsible for managing the deployment, physical installation, and upgrade of server hardware equipment within local and remote facilities.
• Work directly with the Director – IT Infrastructure and communicate escalation/resolution across service lines and IT leadership as appropriate. Engage collaboratively with Director – IT Infrastructure in the employee evaluation, appraisal and staffing processes. Keep management informed of the status of employee performance/nonperformance.
• Perform vendor management by researching and sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes with pricing, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
• Track and maintain hardware/software maintenance, enterprise agreements, and licensing for all areas managed by the Hosting team.
• Prepare and administrate a staffing schedule to ensure appropriate coverage while proactively managing labor costs. Willingness to work various schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage is available at all times. Participate in conducting employee reviews to ensure the staff understands expectations, standards and rules of the department.
• Manage IT strategic planning, which includes project planning, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources based on project demands and the unexpected changes that occur within the incident and problem management areas.
• Provide metrics to drive improvements to enhance support strategies for all aspects of the company. Monitor and report on customer service activities and customer feedback to ensure support is being handled in a professional and efficient manner.
• Provide on-call/after-hours support as needed to support functions escalated by IT Service Center.
• Travel as needed to support remote locations and attend training & conferences.
