Job Summary

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be part of our team located in Fullerton, CA. You’ll get to: 

  • Ensures operation of plant equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and performing adjustments on the following but not limited to; motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; ability to read and comprehend diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques to locate sources of problems by observation, using precision measuring, testing equipment and instruments.
  • Must be familiar with high voltage (480v, 220v & 120v) and low voltage circuits and be able to read associated manuals and drawings. 
  • Familiar with CNC machines, punch presses, and other various metal forming machines a big plus.
  • Responsible for documentation of preventative maintenance, product equipment and/or processes.
  • Maintains supplies inventory levels and anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies and expediting orders if need be.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.
  • Rigs equipment for installation or relocation, as directed.
  • Plans and layouts assigned projects of wiring, conduit, and electrical items as needed.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Assists with EHS initiatives as directed.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, water, PLC, welding, or analytical troubleshooting required.
  • Must be able to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required
  • Must have some knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures, drawings and prints.
  • Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.
  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work on close tolerance equipment and/or parts.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups.
  • Forklift and scissor lift trained, a plus.
  • Safety and quality conscious.

Education:

  • This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree.  Minimum of 3 years industrial experience in a manufacturing setting.
