About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist II is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to properties throughout North America. The position is a liaison between the Shared Service Center and the branches.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Verify supporting documentation meets documentation requirements.
Work with the requestor for additional information necessary to complete the request, still within the initial SLA agreement.
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external business partners while offering unsurpassed customer service.
Accounts Payable Specialist II will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time as requested by department management.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Capacity to be self-directed while working as a member of a larger team.
Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.
Basic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
