Job Description

Join our team as a Strategic Manager and HR Business Partner and play a critical role in the success of our multi-site aerospace manufacturing operations.  You will provide expert guidance while prioritizing multiple projects, handling competing priorities while collaborating and partnering with the Regional General Manager and site HR leaders who are focused on value creation and business outcomes.

You will serve as a trusted advisor in the effective management of the workforce through matters that span employee relations, attraction and retention strategies, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, skills and capability development, talent and performance management, change management and Human Capital Systems deployment.

Key Competencies:

  • Business Acumen - you must be able to articulate business issues and the two way ‘cause and effect’ relationship for the the strategic, financial, economic, business development and operational/technical functions.  
  • Business Consulting - demonstrable experience of helping the business to improve performance through the diagnosis of existing organizational and people related issues, and the identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Change Management -  Evidence the application of a structured process by which change and transformation is implemented and embedded in relation to people within the business, and external partners and organizations.
  • Employee Relations - a proven ability to resolve employee relations issues to maintain business focus.  As constructive and proactive labor relations are likely to have a positive impact on employee engagement and productivity and therefore on revenue, profit, and customer value.
  • HR Insights & Analytics - use of analytics tools to enable the timely, accurate and actionable flow of quality workforce information, in order to inform and support critical business activities and decisions.

 

    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA in Human Resource Management (preferred) along with 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources and Employee Relations.  
    • At least 3 years in a senior, strategic business partner role of a similar size/scope and experience in:
      • Applied Expertise of California/ Employment Law
      • Operating within a manufacturing environment with multi-site, matrix leadership
      • Aerospace, MRO, or OEM experience a definite plus
      • The successful candidate should be based on/near any of our West region sites Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, San Diego and San Antonio.
