What is the opportunity?
As a skilled Midweight Designer you’ll be working alongside the Creative Lead to create compelling work that speaks to and enforces the company strategy of transforming access to education.
The role will sit within the Marketing Team where you will work on a variety of projects across our core channels for a range of audiences within both B2C and B2B. These include paid social campaigns, organic social, email campaigns, FutureLearn website and partner microsites, landing pages, videos, events ,presentations, and more.
You’ll also work in tandem with our copy team on briefs from concepts to final output.
What does success look like:
- Collaborating with both the creative team and wider marketing team to creatively answer marketing briefs to a high standard.
- Using your problem-solving skills to work across multiple business priorities and meet the required deadlines.
- Acting as a brand guardian for FutureLearn, ensuring all visual outputs are top-notch and align with our brand identity.
- Contributing your ideas and working with the Creative Lead to conceptualise and execute creative projects.
- Working on a variety of marketing briefs from start to finish.
- Work across a range of marketing collateral: paid social campaigns, microsites, landing pages, emails, video content, presentations, events, and more.
What you will bring to the role:
- You’ve got at least 3 years of industry experience (agency/in-house) working as a designer across various projects.
- Have good working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Figma.
- Motion graphic skills are a must and you should have experience creating and editing motion graphics using After Effects,
- An excellent eye for detail.
- Can take a brief from start to finish and take the initiative to ask questions when needed.
- Be proactive with a can-do attitude, be comfortable sharing ideas and presenting work and not just wait to be told what to do.
- Have the ability to accept constructive feedback and come up with solutions to answer it.
- Have familiarity with online marketing channels.
- You flourish while working remotely and can motivate yourself to stay on task.
- Even though you’re great at working independently, you enjoy being part of a small team, bringing positive energy and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced working environment.
- You’ve got lots of ideas, and you’re excited to share them with the team.
- You are able to handle your own workload and be self organised.
- Have an interest in the education sector and want to be part of a company that wants to enable education for all.
- Illustration skills would be a bonus.
