JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of a Production Operator position is to unwind slit rolls, remove the defective material, and rewind quality product onto cores to appropriate O.D. specifications.
Position Hours: 2:45pm - 11:00pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow all Oracle plant safety rules and regulations
• Maintain good housekeeping practices
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and support groups
• Provide timely and accurate administrative paperwork / tickets
• Maximize productivity with minimal scrap
• Accurately setup and operate rewinder machine to produce quality product for shipment
• Accurately setup and operate core cutter as necessary
• Read and confirm in a timely manner: JSA, work instructions, and quality documents
• Participate on and be a resource to teams
• Follow departmental guidelines
• The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Successful Completion of Reading & Math Test
• Successful Completion of IVO certification training. ( Industrial Vehicle Operator )
• Successful Completion of JSA reading. ( Job Safety and Health Analysis)
• Successful Completion of GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of iRen, Ticket Printing and PRM applications
• Basic knowledge of Lotus Notes applications
• Knowledge of appropriate web path(s) for assigned machine(s)
• Ability to set machine conditions to properly wind finished rolls
• Basic knowledge of rewinder capabilities
• Working knowledge of hoist operation
• Ability to operate core cutters as necessary
• Basic knowledge of production orders
• Ability to understand rewind direction chart
• Basic understanding of SSI and sample procedure requirements
• Basic understanding of material "fit-for-use" criteria
• Ability to identify defective material
• Thorough understanding of the importance of customer ship dates
• Thorough knowledge of the proper personal protective equipment ( P.P.E.) required for the job
• Thorough knowledge of TRI SEAL Safety & Rules Rules
• Thorough knowledge of job specific Quality documents
• Thorough knowledge of job specific Work Instructions documents
• Basic knowledge of LOTO procedures
• Basic knowledge of fork truck operation and routine battery maintenance
