SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Space Wargaming & Exercise SME.

Responsibilities

Space Delta 10 is the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for the development of USSF doctrine, tactics, and concepts. Space Delta 10 reviews, provides analysis of and contributes to the development of US Space Force capstone, keystone (or operational-level), sub-operational, and tactical doctrine publications. 

 

The successful individual will support Space Delta 10 in all necessary Lessons Learned program activities.  This support will be instrumental in the development, implementation, and success of the USSF Lessons Learned (L2) program.  The contractor will continually monitor USSF lessons learned across the service and joint space community to ensure that these lessons are well documented, assessed for fix actions, and fix actions implemented across the service.

 

The key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

• Providing technical support and assisting USSF in establishing and implementing procedures to collect, validate, disseminate, and track information across the spectrum of operations, and vet them into actionable lessons learned.
• Providing expertise to assess the progress of proposed doctrinal, procedural, and programmatic solutions and to further develop tools and methodology for the dissemination of causation, impact, and resolution statements. Collection events include, but are not limited to, key exercise and experiments, real-world operations, special events, and wargames. 
• Updating L2 databases and tracking tools; monitoring and maintaining a database that will allow oversight and tracking of tasks assigned to the L2 points of contact (POCs).
• Facilitating the training of USSF POCs to accomplish collections for selected events. Activities associated with these events include how to develop schedules and milestones to prepare for collections, participation with the event control team, conducting interviews, developing, and administering surveys, data mining existing archives, submitting observations and following-up on database entries.
• Retrieving and reviewing L2 observations to ensure accuracy, applicability, and completeness.
• Coordinating with the submitter/responsible organization to clarify, correct, and update L2 observations in the joint lessons learned information system (JLLIS) database and/or other L2 databases.
• Consolidating observations and providing monthly status reports to USSF. Using available unclassified and classified information sources, the contractor shall populate the appropriate databases and tracking tools with the most current and accurate operational data possible.
• Facilitating the training of USSF POCs in how to input, validate, update, retrieve and present pertinent data from the database described in parag
