A Day in the Life

The Senior Analyst – Distribution is responsible for managing day-to-day distribution operations, ensuring accurate ERP transactions, and driving performance through KPI monitoring and analysis. This role combines operational oversight with strategic analytics to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory processes. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-effective solutions, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain network.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Controls the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements.

  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of warehousing and logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.

  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.

  • Builds relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues.

  • Integrates market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Management:

    Oversee daily warehousing and distribution operations and ensure smooth execution of transportation and warehousing activities. Monitor and resolve exceptions in order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and delivery performance. Maintain accurate ERP system transactions for inventory movements, shipping, and billing.

  • Performance Monitoring & KPI Management:

    Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, carrier performance, and inventory accuracy. Analyze trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve service levels and reduce costs. Develop dashboards and reports for leadership visibility.

  • Analytical & Strategic Support: Support strategic initiatives such as new product launches, process upgrades, modernization and process automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, 3PL, procurement, operations, and finance to implement solutions.

  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement:

    Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma principles.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 6+ years experience in distribution, transportation, or supply chain.

OR

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field and 2+ years experience in distribution, transportation, or supply chain.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP, and WMS/TMS systems.

  • Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field

  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement frameworks.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems
