Job duties
Process initial and renewal registration applications for investment advisers and broker-dealers.
Notify firms of requirements, compile necessary documents, review for completeness, and resolve deficiencies.
Process fees, prepare files, and track application and renewal processes.
Monitor national databases and paper submissions for withdrawals and terminations.
Respond to inquiries regarding the investment adviser or broker-dealer registration requirements, statutes, and complaints via phone, in person, email, or letter. Respond to public records requests.
Act as primary point of contact for the Bureau’s citizenship verification process for registrants.
Verify citizenship, communicate with firms, resolve deficiencies, track responses, and maintain documentation.
Respond to inquiries and resolve problems regarding the citizenship verification portal and solution.
Monitor and support functionality of the citizenship verification solution.
Obtain various reports from internal and external databases for weekly, month-end, annual, and ad hoc reporting.
Draft letters and general correspondence.
Prepare miscellaneous correspondence, documents, and reports for Securities staff.
Data entry using internal and nationwide data bases.
Backup to receptionist for lunch, breaks, and personal leave.
Perform other work as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Preferred: Prefer at least 2 years of office management, administrative and/or technical experience. Prefer some college/associates degree in business, office management, finance, or operations research.
Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.
