Salary Range: $3,879 - $7,488/Monthly (Budgeted salary $5,093/Monthly)

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Varies, Monday – Friday and some weekends, non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: The Administrative Analyst/Specialist serves as a key individual contributor responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of the Athletics Department. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this position oversees administrative functions, supports key initiatives, and provides executive-level support, including strategic calendar management and facilitating communication between departments. This role covers a wide range of general and specialized administrative responsibilities. The work is primarily administrative and analytical, involving operational, policy, and program research, analysis, reporting, and evaluation to enhance Athletic programs and improve operational policies and procedures. The Analyst/Specialist may also oversee specific program administration. In this fast-paced environment, the Analyst/Specialist exercises discretion and judgment in managing internal and external communications on behalf of the Athletic Director. Additionally, the position supports the department's operational goals through project management and administrative duties, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the Athletics Department.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or 4yrs training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/ or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. General knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or Athletics field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. They must possess a deep understanding of office management and significant experience providing executive support. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage successful initiatives and proficiency in relevant software. The position requires effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical, along with the ability to build positive working relationships. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently, while maintaining strict confidentiality. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in managing shifting priorities and meeting deadlines. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in public administration, business administration, sports management, higher education administration, or related field of study. Experience in higher education or college athletics.
