RN Research Navigator - Office of Clinical Trials- part time- Limited Tenure

Coordinates all activities relating to identifying patients that may be eligible for clinical trials. Includes pre-screening patients for placement into open and enrolling clinical trials on any Mayo Clinic related campus; logs pre-screening information for reporting measures on patient demographics, disease type, Mayo Clinic patient status (current or new); tracks updated lists of studies with open slots, cohorts and wait lists; provides timely feedback to referring physicians and CRCs about patient eligibility; provides information to programs about trends in patient referrals and study availability, used to target new studies to build the program and offer greater resources to a broad spectrum of patients; acts as an educational resource regarding protocol requirements and specific disease process; works directly with the unit supervisor, coordinators, program manager, primary investigators, and research leadership to achieve programmatic goals.
Registered Nurse licensure. Basic Life Support Certification required. Three to five years of recent research experience required.
Minimum of two years' experience in Mayo Clinic system preferred. Knowledge of Institutional Review Board Guidelines, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, and International Conference on Harmonization/Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH/GCP) required.
Certification through a national research organization (ACRP, SOCRA) preferred. Must demonstrate ability to train, assist, and educate coordinators as necessary and to act as ongoing resource. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with health care and research professionals. Good human relations, communication and organizational skills required. Strong written communications skills required. Computer knowledge and skills required. Must possess technical and analytical skills in the use of complex medical equipment.
