This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the implementation of strategic projects within the HarbourVest Transformation Program as part of the Enterprise Continuous Improvement Office. Project Managers drive the full lifecycle of project delivery for initiatives including the deployment of multifaceted technology solutions with varying scale and complexity from requirements definition through implementation and ensuring strong change adoption throughout. This will require active engagement across numerous functional teams of business and technical resources. The PM will be ultimately accountable for project success working alongside business partners to ensure objectives and associated changes are delivered. The role reports to the VP, Wealth Program Manager.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the business functional areas, technical teams, and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements and related timelines.
  • Consult management and review project proposals to set goals, timelines, budgetary requirements, process, and procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and alignment of resources.
  • Drive the requirements definition process, working with business owner(s) and/or a business analyst and IT resources such as technical leaders, developers, analysts, and systems team members.
  • Develop and run project plans specifying goals, strategy, dependencies, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Drive standards and governance for project reporting and documentation.
  • Highly skilled in change and partner management; ability to build positive relationships and influence senior leadership across the global organization.
  • Identify and schedule project outcomes, timelines, and required tasks.
  • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and drive accountability to project team members.
  • Facilitate projects by defining agendas and running meetings at levels of the organization, including executive level presentation content creation and delivery.
  • Coordinate vendor activities by supervising and tracking vendor outcomes and commitments where relevant.
  • Lead scope and the change request process, coordinating decision process of scope and budgetary impact of changes from original specifications.
  • Coordinate testing and Quality Assurance processes and ensure traceability to original requirements.

What you bring:

  • PMI Certification is helpful; Agile delivery experience required; Six Sigma certification a plus; Prosci ADKAR change management certification (or equivalent) a plus; Financial Services with a focus on Wealth Management within the industry a plus.
  • 7+ Years in Project Planning and management experience with a high degree of engagement with executive management in the delivery and adoption of change across an organization, including building and delivering executive level content and presentations.
  • Proven track record to handle a wide variety of projects containing variable components of people, process, and technology solution design, development, and delivery in a hybrid execution methodology framework
  • Skilled at partnering with collaborators on behalf of the project Sponsor with effective problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Builds positive relationships to achieve swift change adoption and become a mentor and trusted advisor for ECI colleagues.
  • Experience in the formation of projects that align with the firm achieving its strategic objectives.
