What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Set Up for Success: Configure laser cutting machines based on detailed work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications, ensuring precise setup and calibration.
  • Operate with Precision: Run laser cutting machines to create parts from metal, plastics, and other materials, making sure each cut aligns with strict project requirements.
  • Monitor and Optimize: Continuously monitor the performance of the laser equipment, adjusting settings such as laser power, speed, and focus to ensure optimal results and minimal material waste.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly address any technical or operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Inspect and Ensure Quality: Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure they meet quality standards, making any necessary adjustments before proceeding to the next phase.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure smooth production processes and timely completion of projects.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Follow strict safety protocols, wear appropriate protective gear, and maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure laser cuts are precise and to specification.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of laser cutting machinery and the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance.
  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods and handling various materials without compromising quality.
  • Problem-Solver: Quick to identify and address issues as they arise, keeping production flowing smoothly.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with engineers and other team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in machinery operation, CNC programming, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience with laser cutting machinery, CNC equipment, or similar roles in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
