The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is currently accepting applications for the position of Manager- Data Analytics.

Primary Tasks:

  • Oversee the execution of the business intelligence and analytics roadmap, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical leadership in business intelligence architecture, data modeling, and reporting, ensuring that the team is following best practice and aligning with the company’s BI strategy for reporting and analytics as well as Cloud technologies.
  • Assist the team in identifying and overcoming technical challenges, providing solutions to remove blockers and improve team efficiency.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPI) for the BI and analytics initiatives, ensuring that these metrics are clearly communicated to leadership, stakeholders and partners.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by understanding organizational goals, market trends, and financial principles, translating business needs into technology solutions, and driving initiatives that deliver measurable value, drive business decisions and offer competitive advantage.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements in data analytics workflows to increase team’s efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the data analytics team through regular performance feedback, career development planning, and the creation of supporting and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Work with IT security, data engineering and data governance teams to ensure that the analytics solution adhere to compliance, security, and data privacy standards.
  • Drive the effective use and optimization of Power BI and other analytics tools, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs to the business.
  • Lead the “Analytics Centre of Excellence” including mentoring, guiding, educating, and providing support to internal partners to increase their skills and level of self-reliance in using the analytical tool and solutions developed by the analytics team.
  • Provide leadership, develop and motivate team by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, reporting structure and performance expectations, manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts, facilitate team bonding and collaboration activities, providing development opportunities for growth, reward success and provide support during challenges, regular and timely feedback.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in business intelligence and data visualization and introduce cutting-edge innovations into the team's practices.

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, business intelligence, Information systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform is a plus.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields with a focus on managing technical teams.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with responsibility for people management and performance management.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting BI, and Data analytics applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts, including data modeling, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Strong knowledge of Data analytics architecture, report development and optimization.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud data services
