About the Role

Gap Inc. is looking for a passionate and technically driven Network Engineer to support and evolve the network infrastructure that powers our North American distribution centers. This role is onsite and deeply hands-on, focused on design, implementation, and optimization of a modern, large-scale enterprise network.

As part of the Infrastructure organization, you’ll work closely with internal teams and our managed service provider to ensure our LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-connected networks are reliable, secure, and ready for the future.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and optimize LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN infrastructure supporting Gap’s distribution centers across North America.

  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure leadership team, MSPs, and cross-functional engineering teams to plan and deliver resilient, scalable network solutions.

  • Support and enhance cloud networking integrations across hybrid environments.

  • Administer and maintain technologies including Juniper, Mist, Arista, Meraki, Infoblox, and F5 platforms.

  • Contribute to the design and upkeep of firewall, load balancer, and DNS/DHCP services.

  • Apply automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar) to improve operational efficiency and configuration consistency.

  • Occasionally assist with compute, virtualization, and storage infrastructure in support of broader data center initiatives.

  • Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of network performance and reliability.

  • Maintain detailed network documentation, adhering to change management and operational standards.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies to ensure Gap’s network remains agile, secure, and scalable.

Who You Are

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise networks.

  • Strong technical expertise in LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM.

  • Working knowledge of Juniper, Mist, Arista, Meraki, Infoblox, and F5 technologies.

  • Solid understanding of firewalls, load balancers, and network security principles.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, OCI).

  • Experience with network automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a bias for ownership and action.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to effectively liaise with internal teams and managed service partners.
