Job Description:

At Regions, the Mortgage Production Assistant Originator spends majority of time in a traditional Production Sales Assistant (PSA) role in support of Production Manager and Mortgage Loan Originators within their market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides general clerical support within a sales environment
  • Gathers information for salespersons as needed
  • Requests loan files and/or other documentation as needed for application processing and distributes accordingly
  • Handles routine questions from clients
  • Assists in customer problem resolution
  • Communicates with customers as needed to gather additional documentation and follow up to obtain necessary documents
  • Imports loan applications and customer inquiries from Bank website and distributes to origination staff
  • Assists originators and closers with changes in approval terms, extensions, relocks, etc.
  • Monitors and distributes weekly production reports to originators and closers
  • Obtains corrections for any audit or post closing exceptions
  • Spends time on origination of residential mortgage loans from the borrower through a branch network
  • Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments
  • May originate loans

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven mortgage production
  • Prior sales support and sales experience

Preferences

  •  Mortgage lending experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$43,500.00 USD

Median:

$52,540.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a commission incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn commission based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
