Team Lead Production

Position Summary

The Team Lead – Production serves as a frontline leader responsible for overseeing daily operations within Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, Laundry, or Security functions. This role supports operational excellence by guiding employees, ensuring safety and food quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow across assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operational activities and assigned staff, including training, coaching, and employee development
• Schedule employees and communicate staffing issues or absences to leadership
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document operational issues and escalate as needed
• Monitor safety practices and proactively eliminate hazards
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned areas to meet QA and USDA inspection standards
• Support employees, vendors, and internal partners by answering process and procedure questions

Production & Operations

• Maintain inventory records and requisition ingredients and supplies
• Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions or safety concerns
• Evaluate materials and finished products to ensure organizational standards

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience at the location or in a related Team Lead role
• Cross‑trained in one or more operational departments
• HACCP trained

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Completion of Food Safety, AMI Short Course, and Leadership Training

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 35°F to 95°F (may occasionally exceed)
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
• Frequent walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting (minimum 10 lbs.)
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and varying noise levels
