We are seeking an experienced developer to join our team. This is a hybrid/in office position based in our Fort Lauderdale office. As a Senior Developer in eCommerce Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge digital commerce solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, scalable, and secure online shopping experiences that drive customer engagement and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Develop and maintain high-performance e-commerce applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Next.js). Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services to enhance platform functionality

    • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable ecommerce applications and services.

    • Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.

    • Drive adoption of modern frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., microservices, headless commerce, CI/CD).

  • ECommerce Platform Development:

    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Optimize site performance, SEO, and accessibility across devices and browsers.

    • Build and maintain core ecommerce features such as product catalogs, shopping carts, checkout flows, and payment integrations.

    • Integrate with CRM, inventory to ensure seamless operations.

    • Optimize site performance, SEO, and accessibility for global audiences.

  • Collaboration & Mentorship:

    • Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to deliver customercentric solutions.

    • Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and career development support.

    • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and contribute to backlog refinement.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines. 

    • Monitor application performance, reliability, and scalability, implementing proactive improvements.

    • Introduce automation for testing, deployment, and monitoring to reduce manual effort.

    • Stay current with emerging ecommerce technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

    • Provide input on product roadmaps and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

    • Deliver measurable improvements in conversion rates, site speed, and user experience.

  • Security & Compliance:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for e-commerce platforms.

    • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and other relevant data protection standards.

    • Implement secure coding practices and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.

    • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to safeguard customer and transaction data.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Math or equivalent degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.

  • Proven ability to build productive collaborative relationships, motive team member
