Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Benefits and Member Services team, you will play a critical role in assisting members with information on insurance/benefit/retirement options, and processing updates to the State of Florida’s human resource information system (HRIS), People First. Responsibilities include providing guidance, training, and support to our members regarding insurance, benefits, and retirement options. In this position, you will utilize traditional and creative tools to present clear and up to date information to our members. You will be responsible for documenting and researching information using an HRIS and evaluating requests to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. There is an opportunity to make changes that enhance, streamline and simplify processes, approaches and tools. You will provide data for the utilization and monitoring of key metrics, and conduct research to provide up-to-date information to Department members.
