As the Sales Team Leader (Senior Customer Manager), you’ll manage and develop resources for the Customer Teams to execute Purina sales strategies and objectives focused on volume, share, and profit goals in an omni environment. We’ll count on you to establish team objectives and build integrated business plans and customer relationships as you leverage multi-functional resources for customer and business development.
- Accurately forecast projected monthly and annual sales volume and margin contributions
- Continuously monitor and analyze overall business plan and progress in meeting goals and adjust activities
- Manage expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner through use of Purina’s Trade Management Tool
- Assess any customer’s competitive position, behaviors, and strategies, and leverage an alignment with strategic goals to maximize sustainable sales, share, and profit growth
- Lead the development of annual customized customer “go to market” programs
- Work cross-functionally within Purina: Customer Account Managers, Retail Sales Representatives, Finance Supply Chain, Market Development Organization, Order Revenue Management, Shopper Marketing, Analytics, and Human Resources
- Continuous improvement of the performance management process with each direct report
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years in account management, business development or category development experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry

- 1+ years of people leadership experience preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $133,000 to $178,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
