Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days 3/12 schedule 6:30p-7:00a

Qualifications - All Applicants:

  • Must be at least 21 years or older
  • Level one fingerprint clearance card or required within 20 days of hire
  • Arizona Food Handlers Card
  • Arizona Driver's License
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification

For those candidates with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

  • Current valid Arizona CNA License from the Az Board of Nursing
  • It is strongly preferred that you do obtain or plan to obtain an LNA from the Az Board of Nursing

For those candidates with a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA):

  • Arizona Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) from the Az Board of Nursing
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for attending to the daily living and safety needs of an assigned group of patients providing age appropriate care
  • Assist registered nursing personnel in the care of patients by performing various patient care activities and related non-professional services
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other departments to provide timely effective care consistent with individual’s needs, choices and preferences
  • Obtains and records vital signs, heights and weights
  • Meets patient’s personal hygiene, basic needs promptly, ensures that the patient is comfortable and necessary supplies are available and in reach
  • Keeps patient environment safe and tidy and follows infection control procedures
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients to include use of appropriate therapies such as play, written, and picture board
  • Reports changes in patient’s condition, out of normal values, patient/family concerns or complaints to nurse, charge nurse and/or supervisor
  • Applies AIDET as well as other evidence-based behaviors; accurately documents procedures as directed by the RN / LPN, accurately and timely
  • All documentation is completed timely and accurately
  • Maintains patient and staff confidentiality
  • Productivity to average no less than 5-6 patients per day

Work Requirements: Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, possess good oral and written communication skills, skilled in standard office equipment/software, care for patients with infectious diseases.Able to work in a variety of settings, assist with the movement of an adult patient weighing to 300 lbs, able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach, sit for 3-5 hours per day, stand for 3-5 hours, and walk for 3-5 hours. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
