Camp Facilities Maintenance Staff at Camp Foskett (Summer Seasonal)

Under the supervision of the Camp Director and the Facilities Director, the Facilities Maintenance Staff Associate has direct responsibilities for the overall appearance and maintenance of the camp and grounds of Camp Foskett.

The Camp Foskett Maintenance position performs maintenance around the camp as assigned by both the Facilities Director and/or Camp Director.

Requirements:

• Ability to tolerate fluctuating temperatures and endure inclement weather to include rain, and wind is a must.
• Must pass a CORI/SORI background check
• CPR, First Aid, AED certified needed but we will train you after obtaining employment.

Essential Functions:

1.) Responsible for overall maintenance and cleaning of Camp Foskett facilities and grounds; restrooms, pavilion, office, and classroom spaces.

2.) Tasks include but are not limited to trash disposal, toilet and sink cleaning, painting, landscape care, preventative maintenance within scope of abilities.

3.) Follow safety regulations in accordance with the YMCA of Central MA, and OSHA.

4.) Use prudent cost control methods to ensure best use of YMCA resources.

5.) Report any problems, repairs or supply to Facilities Director or Camp Director.

6.) Responsible for end of day camp closure, and next-day preparation.

7.) Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Summer Seasonal--beginning June 10, 2024

Camp season runs June 24th-August 15th, 2024

Shifts: Monday - Friday between 1:00pm-4:00pm

**Pre/Post Camp preparation and cleanup required--dates TBD

Pay: $18.00 per hour for new hires and $18.50 per hour for returning Camp Facilities Maintenance staff. Plus, access to YMCA facilities and Employee Assistance Plan to all YMCA of Central Massachusetts employees.
