We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst II to join our Pacific Life Investments (PLI) Operations team in Newport Beach, CA.

This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst II, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by working independently and with area director to develop and maintain a new centralized AP/Contract Procurement process for the PLI department along with supporting other operational programs within PLI. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 6 people in the Corporate division. Your colleagues will include fellow operations, project management and procurement professionals.

How you’ll help move us forward:

AP role - manage PLI’s divisional expenses and contract procurement lifecycle

  • Work with internal teams to manage new contracts, contract renewals and extensions.  Make recommendations to teams using internal tools available within Pacific Life.
  • Maintain supplier relations.
  • Prepare purchase orders.
  • Review, dispute and approve invoices.
  • Ensure contract obligations are being met by internal and external parties.

Operational Programs role – support key PLI operational programs including research, analysis and reporting. 

  • Pledging programs - monitor portfolio trends to ensure meeting pledging benchmarks.  Work with external program partners to continue to qualify and grow pledging population to support PL liquidity and investment needs.
  • Regulatory programs - develop processes and plans to implement solutions for new/existing programs for PLI.  These programs will require development of industry-standard best practices and create recommendations for PLI on how to best implement processes to comply with these regulations.
  • Systems support – Work independently to explore new functionality within Real Estate’s mortgage loan servicing system and make recommendations for use by internal teams.  Once recommendation is made, work with internal teams to implement new functionality.


The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Adept analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$98,100.00 - $119,900.00
