Position Summary: 

Under the supervision of Human Resources Manager, assist with team member and management workplace issues that arise. Provide human resources support and assistance to team members on policies, regulations, procedures regarding employment, recruitment and hiring options, compensation, performance management and disciplinary procedures,  benefits, and training. Gather team member information on attitude and work environment to be utilized for mediation, reporting and resolution of issues. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Work in partnership with the HR Manager to keep the organization compliant with employment laws and regulations.
  • Work in partnership with the team members and management, to research, advise, coach, and follow-up on team member issues, and interpret policy with consistency and fairness.
  • Maintain good rapport and working relationships with team members and management in an effort to prevent, resolve, and/or cope with personnel issues affecting the workplace.
  • Assist with HR investigations as needed.
  • Must be able to cultivate problem solving techniques and implement organizational solutions. To improve organizational behavior. Coach Directors, Managers and Supervisors on associate performance issues and provide assistance with applying progressive discipline procedures.
  • Meet with team members to discuss concerns relating to the workplace.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times.
  • Assist with market studies as assigned to include: job evaluation and classification, market surveys and analysis, job description development and maintenance.
  • Complete unemployment requests for information, notify management of upcoming hearings, and coordinate the hearing with management staff and outsourced representative(s).
  • Assist in managing recruitment practices to ensure screening, interviewing and hiring processes are executed in accordance with applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and prepare packets for the Fair Treatment Team hearing and review process. This includes keeping all records of hearing proceedings and sending all correspondence as they relate to the process.
  • Facilitate Fair Treatment Team hearings.
  • Assist with Team member Events and recognition programs throughout the year.
  • Operate computer to compile, store or retrieve worker-related information. (i.e. notification of change forms, termination logs, new hires, transfers)
