We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing various enterprise tools and platforms that support critical business functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to ensure seamless platform operations, development, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Tool Administration:
Administer and maintain a wide range of enterprise tools, including:
- Databases: MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres.
- EFT (Electronic File Transfer Management): Ensure secure and efficient file transfers.
- Web Hosting and Development: IIS, Apache, Tomcat.
- Collaboration Tools: Atlassian Suite, Confluence, One Genesys Portal, WordPress.
- HR and Financial Applications: Workday, Netsuite, Coupa, RevPro, Awards, Iron Mountain.
- CRM Applications: Salesforce, customer/partner portals, and related applications.
- Ensure tools and platforms are optimized, updated, and secure. No application development, only administration, updates, and integrations.
Code Development and Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain scripts and applications using C#, Python, PowerShell, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Build and enhance automation processes through Power Automation, Power Apps, and Power BI.
Data and Reporting:
- Oversee data storage, synchronization, and custom reporting using PowerShell, Excel, and SQL.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver tailored reports.
Platform Innovation:
- Proactively seek opportunities to streamline operations, enhance platform performance, and improve user experience.
- Support ongoing development of tools and platforms to align with evolving business needs.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with internal teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, and resolve issues.
- Train and support end-users on platform functionalities and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years in platform engineering, enterprise tool administration, or a related role.
- Proven experience with the tools and technologies listed in the responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of database administration, automation scripting, and enterprise application support.
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages, including C#, Python, PowerShell, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of web hosting technologies (IIS, Apache, Tomcat) and enterprise collaboration tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ITSM concepts and tools like ServiceNow for managing work
