What You’ll Do:
As an HR Generalist at APR Supply Co, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience and providing comprehensive HR support across various functions. This role requires a proactive and personable professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hourly recruiting for high volume warehouse and driver roles.
- Assist with recruiting for salaried, professional roles with the intent of transitioning full ownership to HR over time.
- Oversee and administer employee programs such as unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation. This involves maintaining accurate records, timely reporting, and implementing best practices to minimize costs and mitigate risks.
- Administer and manage all aspects of DOT program to include maintaining driver files, monitoring compliance, drug testing, etc.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Maintain accurate employee records, track HR metrics, and provide insights to leadership.
- Assess and align HR training requirements with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Identify continuous and process improvement opportunities. Adopt technology to automate tasks.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, record scanning, and correspondence.
- Assist with organizing company events and activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required for Success:
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and professional in all communications. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter with attention to detail and follow-up, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a customer-focused environment.
- College Degree in Business/HR required
- Minimum of 3 (three) years of previous human resources experience
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Customer service mindset
- Possesses excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Office 365 suite and familiarity with HRIS system software
