Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Enterprise Applications with a background in ERP and/or CRM systems, business intelligence (BI) and data governance, and preferably within a manufacturing environment. A heavy focus for this role is placed on driving analytics strategy, change management and continuous improvement in the enterprise applications domain. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in enterprise application support and change management, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management:
- Manage an internal multi-disciplinary team and external third-party managed services, consisting of ERP specialists, program developers and BI developers
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct ongoing performance management, goal setting, and professional development planning for direct reports
Data Strategy, Governance and Change Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Enforce and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security and data integrity in BI/reporting
- Oversee master data management, data architecture and data modeling activities to support analytical and operational needs
- Provide thought leadership and guide the IT organization’s change management process, including managing segregation of duties and revision control of documentation, code and other artifacts
Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics:
- Oversee the evolving design, development and deployment of BI solutions and analytical tools
- Drive the adoption of self-service BI capabilities across the organization
- Monitor the BI platform performance and optimize as necessary to ensure responsiveness, reliability and optimized cost of cloud resources
- Ensure alignment of data/analytics technologies roadmap with artificial intelligence (AI) pilots and initiatives
ERP and CRM Management, Continuous Improvement, and Innovation:
- Partner continuously with the Project Management Office (PMO) and business stakeholders to agree on priorities prior to execution
- Drive continuous improvement of ERP and CRM systems, and champion the adoption of new technologies as necessary, to support strategic initiatives and realize efficiencies in business operations
- Develop, socialize and execute the roadmap for upgrades and enhancements
- Ensure master data hygiene across ERP, CRM and other business systems
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data management, BI, ERP and CRM domains
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
