SALARY: $82,400-$97,850, bonus eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
As an Assistant People Manager, you will play a key role in driving the strategic HR agenda across our Craft hospitality locations, working closely with People Leadership to enhance skills & leadership capabilities, employee engagement, and talent development of our Owned Retail employees. You will support all stages of the employee lifecycle to ensure a consistent, people-first experience across our Devils Backbone & Four Peaks locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside People Manager and Director to roll out a strategic HR agenda to strengthen the capabilities of the client group, including mentorship, leadership development, performance management, and talent management.
- Analyze Pub Hourly engagement survey results and create action plans at multiple levels.
- Train leadership in and oversee employee talent management in all stages of the employee lifecycle.
- Provide direction with regards to employee relations, policy interpretation and disciplinary procedures.
- Ownership of the recruitment process including demand planning, sourcing, interview scheduling, I-9 processing and onboarding of hourly Pub employees.
- Partner with managers for hourly progressive discipline conversations, manager coaching support and flagging adherence concerns.
- Liaise with Payroll for processing of employee paycheck corrections or timesheet issues.
- Ensure compliance to Virginia and Arizona employment laws for hospitality management
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years' experience in HR function.
- Even though a background in business, human resources, or labor relations, would definitely help, we’re also open to philosophy, psychology, or even quantum mechanics majors.
- You’re driven and have the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with proven analytical, influential and negotiation skills.
- We look for leaders who are naturally ambitious, self-aware, hungry to learn, proactive workers, and analytical.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Open to future relocation for developmental and promotional opportunities preferred.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the company and influence the decision process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
