The Packager / Material Handler role is responsible for removing the product from the filler line in a fast paced moving environment at the Lactalis US Yogurt Brattleboro, VT facility!

This position is part of a cohesive team, needs someone who can multi-task and is motivated!

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair mechanical equipment and facilities; aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.

• Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
•  Perform and follow all OSHA guidelines regarding work and safety manuals; Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
• Maintain completed daily record of work performed on maintenance software.
• Knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and how to apply it to a project effectively.
• Work on low and high voltage transformers, motors, motor starters, and switchgear
• Assist machine operators in determining when the machine should be shut down due to electrical problems.
• Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment and completes appropriate paperwork.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble all parts of machines and support equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Schedule: 12 hour shift, 6pm to 6am on a rotating schedule

Requirements

• 4000 hour minimum licensed work as a commercial (not residential) journeyman - electrical.
• Quickly able to provide comprehensive electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic and programmable control logic.
• Master electrical License - State of Vermont

Salary Description: varies with experience - shift differential included for nights
